Adult
Antioch Group
Facilitator: Tom Entinger
The Antioch Group is named after the church in Antioch (Acts 11:26). The Bible says that it was the church there that first took the name ‘Christians.’ This group is appropriately named because it was the first small group formed at Dassel Church of Christ years ago. This group is open to all ages and studies various topics. They meet every other week.
The Gathering
Facilitator: Tommy Nelson
This group is open to anyone who classifies themselves a ‘young adult.’ Some are young, and some are young at heart. They study a variety of topics. They meet weekly to spend time together, plan activities, and get into God’s Word.
Family Group
Facilitator: Dan and Jonette Schue
One of the roles of the church is to teach and train future generations in the way of the Lord. This group is to help train parents in raising their children. “We were definitely not perfect parents but I can assure you that all of the effort you put into your kids now really pays off as they get older. Raising your kids right is the most important thing you will ever do!” – Dan and Jonette
Morning Group
Facilitator: Dave Herring
This early morning group meets early every week to dig into the deeper theology. They talk about doctrines, history, and concepts in the Bible often overlooked. They also share breakfast together. This group is open to anyone and meets every week on Thursdays at 630am at Dave and Amanda’s house.
Senior Group
Facilitator: Maribel Gilmer
Once a month our ‘senior saints’ get together to sing their favorite hymns, spend time together, and study the Scriptures. They also share lunch together. This group meets the first Wednesday of every month.
Wednesday Night Groups
These groups meet every Wednesday night at the church building immediately following the Wednesday night dinner. Each group has an element of worship, discipleship, and service – the three things we believe are essential for a Christian.
The dinner is at 6:30pm, and the classes begin at 7:00pm.
Love and Respect
Facilitator: Bob and Denise Moberg
This class is for married couples, engaged couples, couples thinking about marriage someday, or anyone who anticipates getting married at some point in their lives! This class is hands on and focuses on personal growth that fosters better relationships between people.
Practical Theology
Facilitator: Dave Herring
The Bible has been made pretty complicated over the years. This class will be about simplifying and understanding who God really is and what He expects from His followers.. We will cover a range of topics about God’s attributes, the work of Jesus, the purpose of the church, and everything in-between heaven and hell.
